Daniel Gibson

WTF. I don't even know where that came from. It just popped out. Haha!

Okay so i have another story to tell.
On channel 7, right, there's this guy called Daniel Gibson. He does the weather updates, and he does 40 updates a day. I got really excited not long ago because I found out that he was coming to Bendigo to host a fashion charity show. I went out and brought a ticket for myself, and my sister, because she loves him too. So yesterday was the day of the show. I got home, and went to start getting ready. My sister decided she didn't wanna come anymore. I had an hour and a half to find someone to come, get ready and be there. I asked all of my friends. All of them had an excuse. A majority of them were fair enough; there was a drama night on at school, that they were going to as they had already arranged it with other friends; they had SACs to prepare for; their parents weren't home and they had no way of getting there. So none of my friends could come. I rang some cousins who also like Daniel Gibson, but they had a netball break up to attend. Kayla wouldn't come, mum wouldn't come. Mum then decided she would come but I didn't want her to because it's not fun being there with someone who doesn't wanna be there. I literally cried when i was on the phone to rhiannon. So as a last resort, I rang my aunty. She said she would come. By now i had pretty much gotten ready and had about half an hour tofinish getting readyand get there. She came as quick as she could. We left, and were driving, when all of a sudden she turned in to the capital theater. I was like, "uhhhh where are you going. it's at the town hall" and she was like no its here, but i was like, noooo town hall. So we laughed and drove down to the town hall. We got out of the car, and she started walking to some other place. I was like "uhhh that isn't the town hall" and she started fighting with me, telling me it was, haha. I knew it wasn't so we went over to the real town hall. We stood in the massive line, in the freezing cold, me all dressed up, her not dressed up at all. It was freezing, and dark. I looked over to the front of the queue and was like AWWW I FEEL IMPORTANT because there was a red carpet that we had to walk up. :). So we got to just about the front of the queue and i look over and daniel gibson was standing right there. He made his way outside. He came back and aunty marl was in his way so he asked her to move a little, so she did. Then she gave him the evils, because she didnt know who he was. I was spazzing. This guy is my hero! Then he walked past me and smiled, and then the photographers from a newspaper or something asked to get a photo of him, and he was like, "OK, you can get in it!" to me. So me and him got a proper photo together. Then i was fully spazzing like, the whole time we were sitting there in the 5th row waiting for the fashion show to start. I texted my sister to tell her and she laughed. So it started, and we were all sitting there, and he started talking about how he's really tall. Then started talking about the stiletto sprint that is on on saturday. He then asked the crowd if there was anyone who couldn't wear heels because their partner would be shorter than them. The only person who put up their hand was aunty marl, so he looked over at her, laughed and was like 'you need to get someone like me!' coz he's 6 foot 5. So then she was spazzing, haha. Then at half break i was freezing, so i stood under one of the big lights because it was really warm at it. I was still shivering though, and Daniel came out from back stage and looked at me, did this big grin, ad asked if I was cold. I was like 'i am absolutely freezing' and we started talking. Then aunty marl came over and was like, can i get a photo of you two? So he was like, sure! Come over to these flowers! Coz there were pretty fake flowers. So we got 2 photos, (one of which will be at the bottom of this blog) and spoke for a bit. About how he needs new jokes for his texts coz they're getting repetitive. He told me he's working on new ones at the mo :). So anyway, all of a sudden heaps of people came up wanting photos. I took a couple of them for people, haha. So then it had to start again so we took our seats and he looked over at me and laughed. Then the other half of the show went on, I laughed coz i could see backstage from my seat and saw Alex DeArouge aka AD from star fm getting his make up put on. So we continued watching and i decided i wanted to get his autograph after it for mum, kayla and sam. So we grabbed a couple of pamphlet thingos, and a pen and when the show ended i ran over and asked him to sign them for me. He was pissing himself coz the texta was so wet and he had to like, blow it dry and i was laughing at his face and it made him laugh. We were sitting on the stage haha. So yeah we were chatting then, but then i had to go.
Eeeeeee it was such a good night. I had a ball :). If he hosts it again next year, I'm deffo going again. And getting there early so I can get a seat right up the front and probs meet him again, lots of times.
